Hi! My name is Gretchen. The name of my practice, Petoskey Stones Therapy, evolved from the more than 15 years my family and I spent living in Michigan. Petoskey stones are distinctively patterned fossilized coral rock found primarily along the banks of Lake Michigan in northern lower Michigan. These unique stones have long been thought to encourage emotional healing, assisting us in letting go of negative feelings and cultivating a sense of tranquility, peace, and vitality. It is considered to be a powerful connector to the natural world.

Petoskey Stone Therapy was created to feel like a quiet moment by the water—steady, grounding, and safe enough to finally exhale.

This is a space for people who hold a lot—parents, caregivers, and those moving through big life changes—who are ready for a place where they don’t have to carry it all alone.

With a trauma-informed approach, therapy here is about making sense of your experiences, understanding your responses, and reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels gentle and supportive.
